This legal notice sets out the general information required by article 10 of Spanish Act 34/2002 of 11 July on information society services and electronic commerce, and governs access to and use of the website www.societejuridique.com.

2. Regulated profession, bar admission and professional rules

The practice of law is a regulated profession. In compliance with article 10.1.d) of Act 34/2002, the bar admission details of the lawyers providing services through this website are set out below. They may be verified in the General Register of Lawyers of the Spanish Bar.

Academic qualification and issuing State

The lawyers listed hold the official degree in Law issued in Spain, a Member State of the European Union, and are admitted to practise under Spanish law.

Applicable professional rules

Professional practice is governed by Royal Decree 135/2021 of 2 March, approving the General Statute of the Spanish Bar; by the Code of Conduct of the Spanish Bar; by Act 2/2007 of 15 March on professional partnerships; and by the rules of the bar associations of registration. Those rules may be consulted electronically on the websites of the General Council of the Spanish Bar and of the respective bar associations.

3. Purpose and conditions of use

This website provides information about the firm’s services and publishes legal content of an informative nature. Access is free of charge, save for client areas requiring credentials. Users undertake to use the site in accordance with the law, this notice and the requirements of good faith.

The texts, images, trade marks, logos, design and source code of the site belong to the entities identified in section 1 or to third parties who have authorised their use, and are protected by intellectual and industrial property law. Their reproduction, distribution, public communication or transformation without express authorisation is prohibited. Statutory texts are reproduced under article 13 of the consolidated Intellectual Property Act, from the consolidated versions published by the Spanish Official State Gazette.

The owner is not liable for damage arising from the use of the content, nor for decisions taken on the basis of the informative material published. The legislation and case law cited correspond to the position in force on the review date shown at the foot of each page, and no guarantee of continuous updating is given.

8. Data protection and cookies

The processing of personal data is governed by the privacy policy. The use of storage and retrieval devices is governed by the cookie policy.

9. Professional secrecy

Any communication addressed to the firm is covered by the duty of professional secrecy under article 21 of the General Statute of the Spanish Bar. However, sending a message through the contact form does not in itself create a professional relationship, which arises only upon express acceptance of the engagement and signature of the corresponding letter of engagement.

10. Applicable law, complaints and jurisdiction

This legal notice is governed by Spanish law. Complaints concerning the professional conduct of the lawyers may be addressed to the relevant bar association under the disciplinary regime of the General Statute of the Spanish Bar. For any matter arising from the interpretation and application of this notice, the parties submit to the courts having jurisdiction under the applicable rules.
